The RoleThriveon is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to build the top of our sales pipeline across Minnesota. This is a high-activity, outbound-first role: your job is to self-generate first-time appointments (FTAs) through your own outbound prospecting and set discovery meetings for our Account Executives. You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, sit in on discovery meetings to learn consultative selling, and grow toward a full-cycle AE role over time.
Responsibilities- Self-generate 2 first-time appointments through outbound cold calling, email, Linked In, drop-ins, referrals, and networking — with cold calling as the core motion.
Expect 80+ cold dials per day. - Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers.
- Engage executive leadership to introduce Thriveon’s services.
- Qualify opportunities and schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives.
- Attend and support discovery meetings to learn Thriveon’s consultative sales process.
- Maintain accurate activity tracking, pipeline updates, and reporting in Hub Spot.
- Meet and exceed daily/weekly activity metrics and FTA goals.
- 1–3 years of B2B sales, business development, or outbound prospecting experience preferred.
- A track record of high-volume cold calling — you can tell us your real numbers (dials/day, meetings set/week).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort initiating conversations with business owners and executives.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and coachable.
- Experience using CRM tools to track activity and pipeline.
- Desire to grow into a full-cycle Account Executive role over time.
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
