Sales Account Executive

Meet Minneapolis seeks a Sales Account Executive to drive meetings, conventions, and events to the city. In this role, you'll prospect and manage accounts, build relationships with planners and hospitality partners, and craft compelling proposals that showcase Minneapolis' venues, culture, and visitor experiences. You'll collaborate with marketing and tourism teams, attend trade shows and site visits, and track performance against room-night and revenue goals.

This position is ideal for a results-oriented salesperson passionate about destination marketing and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, and secure new convention, meeting, and event business for Minneapolis hotels and venues
• Manage a sales pipeline, conduct outreach, and deliver persuasive presentations to decision-makers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitality, tourism, and civic partners
• Develop tailored proposals, RFP responses, and contracts that align client needs with city offerings
• Collaborate with marketing and events teams to support bids, site visits, and promotional campaigns
• Track performance metrics, prepare sales reports, and meet or exceed revenue and room-night goals
• Represent Meet Minneapolis at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to promote the destination
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Minneapolis attractions, venues, and competitive destinations
