A luxury, full-service hotel located directly at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, offering an upscale experience for business and leisure travelers as well as corporate groups, meetings, weddings, and special events. The property features 291 guest rooms and suites, multiple dining outlets, and more than 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a large ballroom and elevated event venues with views of the Twin Cities.
The hotel combines a convenient airport location with high-end service, sophisticated accommodations, and a strong focus on meetings, events, and guest experiences. It is directly connected to Terminal 1 and is positioned as a leading luxury destination within the Twin Cities hospitality market.
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving hotel revenue through new business development, account growth, and strategic relationship management. This role focuses heavily on direct sales, prospecting, client engagement, and building a strong pipeline of high-value accounts. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-driven, and well-connected within the local market, with the ability to consistently identify new opportunities and grow existing business.
Responsibilities- Develop new accounts and grow existing hotel accounts to achieve revenue goals.
- Conduct direct sales calls targeting accounts with 30+ room nights on peak.
- Build and manage a targeted account list focused on 50+ room nights on peak.
- Prospect new business through networking, telemarketing, market research, and competitor analysis.
- Identify and capture competitor accounts with strong revenue potential.
- Follow up on all leads within 24 hours.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and identify opportunities for additional revenue.
- Maintain accurate account profiles, sales activity, and follow-up records.
- Research the local market, competition, and business trends to identify opportunities.
- Spend at least 90% of working time focused on direct sales activities.
- Participate in community and industry organizations to increase hotel visibility and generate business.
- Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure strong client service and overall hotel performance.
- Meet established productivity, activity, reporting, and revenue goals.
- Hotel Sales & Business Development – Proven ability to generate new business and drive hotel revenue.
- Prospecting & Account Acquisition – Strong track record of identifying, targeting, and converting new accounts.
- Account Management & Relationship Building – Ability to grow existing accounts and build long-term client relationships.
- Luxury Hotel Sales Experience – Experience selling within an upscale or luxury hotel environment.
- Local Market Connections – Established relationships with corporate, group, and local business accounts.
- Community & Industry Involvement – Active involvement in local networking groups, associations, or hospitality organizations.
