Working in the computational research group offices of Regents Prof. Donald Truhlar in Smith Hall
- 60% design and conduct experiments and analyze data in the field of computational theoretical chemistry
- 20% administration and maintenance of the full research group's servers, other hardware and serve as subject matter expert on group software.
- 10% Writing drafts of co-authored manuscripts for publication and/or presentation at professional meetings. Reviews relevant literature and selects pertinent procedures and techniques, and plans approaches to the problem.
- 10% Mentoring junior researchers in the group, attend and contribute to all group meetings and work collaboratively to support other researchers in the lab
Required:
Advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related AND one or more years of research experience.
Preferred:
Experience with theoretical computational chemistry and related simulation modeling. Scientific writing experience (research summaries, manuscripts for submission to journals).

Pay and BenefitsPay Range: $62,376.52 to $66,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
