Job Overview
Lead wetland delineations, protected species assessments, and compliance strategy for high‑profile environmental projects across the Midwest. This Senior Consultant, Lead Wetland Delineator will influence renewable energy, oil & gas, power, and technology initiatives while supporting ERM's mission to achieve environmental compliance and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead wetland delineation using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and regional supplements.
- Conduct habitat assessments, environmental due diligence, and impact studies under NEPA.
- Prepare compliance management plans and multimediapermitting documentation.
- Support project delivery through field surveys, data analysis, literature reviews, and technical reporting.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop strategies and recommendations for clients.
- Maintain quality, budget, and schedule expectations while supporting ERM’s Impact Assessment team goals.
- Required:
Minnesota Wetland Professional Certification Program (Certified Wetland Professional). - BS in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or related discipline (minimum 3.0 GPA) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years (5 years strongly preferred) in environmental consulting or related field.
- Technical skills: plant identification, soil sampling, hydric soil identification, hydrology indicators, strong data management and technical report writing.
- Driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% in summer/growing season and 20% in off season.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with NEPA environmental assessments, permitting, and compliance documentation (preferred).
- Familiarity with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Marine Fisheries Service, and state/local agency requirements (preferred).
- Preferred:
National Professional Wetland Certificate and Assure Delineator (Wisconsin). - Position not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Competitive salary ranging from $69,386 to $102,301 (USD). Eligible for bonuses subject to company discretion.
