Job Description
This position is responsible for analyzing samples and creating prototypes to assist in product development, quality improvement, and food sales projects. The role involves lifting, handling, and maintaining ingredients and equipment while ensuring all work is conducted within established guidelines. The work primarily involves smaller bench top applications.
Responsibilities- Analyze samples to support research and development.
- Create final products for testing purposes.
- Maintain an inventory of filled standard sample jars.
- Assist in obtaining documentation approvals as needed.
- Perform laboratory activities for the development and improvement of products.
- Support sales efforts as necessary.
- Participate in pilot scale and production trials while maintaining food safety culture in regards to food defense, quality, and cGMPs.
- Perform other duties as required in the food manufacturing and research & development fields.
- Bachelor's degree in sciences, with a preference for food science.
- Some laboratory experience, which can be obtained through school.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
The position primarily operates Monday through Friday during the first shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role offers exposure to scale-up processes in R&D food manufacturing, providing a great kickstart to a career in this field.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
