Alarm Monitoring Operator I at Securitas Technology will staff a 24/7 Sonitrol alarm monitoring center to promptly and accurately respond to alarm signals, verify incidents via audio/video, notify emergency services and customer contacts, and log events. The role requires multi-line phone handling, data entry (30+ WPM), attention to procedures similar to a 911 dispatcher, shift flexibility (including nights, weekends, holidays), and completion of paid training and certification.
Minimum qualifications include HS diploma/GED, 1‑3 years’ work experience, strong multitasking and communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and urgency.

This full‑time opportunity functions in our state‑of‑the‑art 24/7 Alarm Monitoring Center as a Customer Monitoring Specialist working a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule will include holidays and weekends. Customer Monitoring Specialists are responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by accurately and efficiently responding to alarm signals. They are responsible for managing alarm events, verifying security information, notifying and updating emergency services such as fire and police agencies and ensuring customers are properly notified of events.
This includes answering a multi‑line telephone system. This position will require the incumbent to report onsite.

Your essential functions will include:
- Respond to all incoming alarm signals in our automation software according to documented procedures. When deemed appropriate, call the premise, notify the authorities, and call a list of contacts. Log all information into the automation system immediately and accurately.
- Answer the multi‑line telephone system.
- Ensure confidentiality of customer information at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred.
- 1‑3 years’ work experience.
- Type 30+ words a minute. Candidates must complete a pre‑hire assessment for typing.
