The Safety & Security Specialist is responsible for promoting a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at PPL‑owned and managed properties. This role focuses on preventing and responding to safety concerns, mitigating environmental and physical risks, and supporting residents, staff, and community partners through proactive presence, monitoring, and incident management. The specialist ensures PPL maintains the highest standards of safety and security across all sites.

• Conduct regular visits to PPL properties to identify and document safety or maintenance issues, including doors, windows, lighting, and signs of potential illegal activity
• Protect life and safeguard property by enforcing laws, regulations, and PPL policies on‑site
• Respond promptly to emergency assistance requests from PPL staff at properties, offices, or school sites, prioritizing the protection of individuals
• Maintain accurate documentation of findings, incidents, observations, and recommended corrective actions
• Assist in developing and implementing strategic safety and security plans across PPL sites
• Work collaboratively with PPL staff to communicate safety concerns, develop proactive strategies, and address “hot spot” properties

• Strong written, oral, and electronic communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Familiarity with key neighborhoods in which PPL properties are located

• At least 1-3 years of experience in safety and security
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Military or law enforcement training/experience preferred
• Valid Driver's license

Full Time/Non‑Exempt: $25‑$28 per hour, M‑F (Weekend and evening hours may be required on occasion)
