Duties
Help
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that participates in investigating and litigating civil and criminal cases by providing litigation support services to Assistant United States Attorneys at the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Minnesota. At the full performance level, typical work assignments will include:
- Planning and executing the processing of complex and/or voluminous electronically stored information (ESI), evaluating file types, formats, and volumes to determine appropriate workflows.
- Consulting with case teams to assess technical requirements and develop and implement eDiscovery strategies for the collection, processing, review, and production of electronic evidence.
- Designing, building, and maintaining document review databases, including use of advanced search techniques, analytics tools, and data organization methods to support case needs.
- Analyzing and resolving technical issues related to electronic evidence, including data usability, processing errors, and format incompatibilities, ensuring data integrity throughout the discovery lifecycle.
- Leading the preparation and production of electronic discovery, ensuring compliance with legal specifications, court requirements, and deadlines, including performing advanced quality control.
- Advising case teams on litigation technology, eDiscovery best practices, and evidence management strategies, and recommends appropriate technical solutions.

GS-7: To be eligible at the GS-7 level, you must meet ONE of the following:
Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of
Education and Experience OR Superior Academic Achievement.
Specialized
Experience:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal service or equivalent paid/nonpaid experience in the private or public sector working in a legal environment assisting with processing electronically stored information (ESI) by organizing, labeling, and preparing files for review or production; maintaining tracking logs for electronic and paper records; using computer applications and databases to enter, retrieve, update, sort, search, and organize information in accordance with established procedures;
preparing documents for distribution by copying, scanning, and formatting materials; and providing administrative and technical support by responding to routine inquiries, following instructions, completing assignments timely, and using office software and equipment to support operations.

Education: Completion of one (1) full year of graduate level education (18 semester hours or the number of credits your school uses to describe one graduate year of academic study) in a related field such as Criminal Justice, Paralegal Sciences or Law leading to a master's degree Or a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's Qualification Standards.
