Security Officer Unarmed in Columbia Heights, MN you will serve and safeguard clients across industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and policy violations according to posted instructions.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and following client-specific protocols for after‑hours access, deliveries, and escalated situations.

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
