Job Description

Garda World Security Services is now hiring a Surveillance Security Operator. This role involves monitoring security systems, detecting and responding to threats, and maintaining documentation of incidents.

    We have 2 shifts available.
    • Full-time, Friday through Monday, 1st shift 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Full-time, Friday through Monday, 3rd shift 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Operator
  • Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
  • Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
  • Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
  • Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
  • Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
  • Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
  • Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property
  • Handle Video Investigations for incidents that meet specified client criteria
  • Maintain current knowledge of all available incident reports and input events that match criteria into Smartsheet to begin investigation
  • Deploy and maintain mobile cameras throughout multiple sites
  • Be able to critically analyze described events and utilize knowledge of available camera angles and systems to locate footage of the required event
  • Proficiency with technology and quick learning of software
  • Physically able to climb 6 ft ladder for camera deployments and maintenance
  • Comfortable with an office style position, majority of work week in front of a computer; proficient typing skills
Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Operator
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent documentation
  • Successful completion of an extensive screening process
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills
  • Proficiency with technology
  • Experience in security or prior military/law enforcement experience
  • Experience working with surveillance cameras and security systems
  • State license, if required
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
