As a Security Officer Reception and Lobby Guard in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal at a shelter location where you will serve as the front desk presence, greeting guests, managing access, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. In this stationary role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while helping to address incidents and assist those who enter the location.

Tue 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Wed 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Thur 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Fri 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor front desk activity, manage access to the location, and document visitor, resident, and/or vendor arrivals in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
• Answer questions, provide directions, and support daily front desk operations while helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations at the location.
• Complete required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation related to security-related activities, visitor interactions, and unusual events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
