Workplace Violence Prevention Coordinator

The Workplace Violence Prevention Coordinator supports the coordination, implementation, and sustainment of the organization's workplace violence prevention strategy and related safety initiatives. This role serves as a key liaison among operational, clinical, security, educational, and leadership stakeholders to promote alignment, facilitate communication, support training and implementation efforts, monitor progress, and advance a culture of safety across the organization. The coordinator helps ensure workplace violence prevention initiatives are effectively executed, measured, sustained, and aligned with organizational priorities and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate workplace violence prevention initiatives and activities across departments, disciplines, and operational settings
  • Facilitate collaboration among clinical, operational, security, educational, and leadership stakeholders to support organizational goals and priorities
  • Provide coordination and implementation support for workplace violence prevention programs, interventions, workflows, and standard practices
  • Coordinate the planning, deployment, and evaluation of workplace violence prevention, conflict prevention, and conflict management training programs
  • Lead the team of workplace violence prevention trainers, including training new trainers as there is turnover in the roles, observing and coaching trainers, and directly participating with end user training
  • Support organizational efforts to promote consistency, standardization, and adoption of workplace violence prevention practices
  • Coordinate the collection, tracking, and reporting of program metrics, performance measures, and improvement activities
  • Support the translation of data, trends, and findings into actionable recommendations and follow-up activities
  • Assist with regulatory compliance, documentation, reporting, and readiness activities related to workplace violence prevention and employee safety
  • Support the sustainment, spread, and continuous improvement of effective workplace violence prevention practices across the organization
  • Develop and coordinate communications, reports, presentations, and other materials to keep stakeholders informed of program activities, progress, and outcomes
  • Foster engagement with organizational leaders to support prioritization, decision-making, accountability, and advancement of workplace violence prevention efforts
