HVAC Apprentice - 3rd Year

Position

3rd Year HVAC Apprentice – Daikin Applied – Maple Grove, MN

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, fan coils, water‑source heat pumps, air‑handling units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Assist in rebuilding HVAC units.
• Drive company vehicle to and from job sites and transport/maintain inventory of hand tools and materials.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, tip reports, and other documents promptly.
• Enter necessary data, navigate e‑mail, internet, and word‑processing programs.
• Maintain professional appearance and communication, interact with customers by providing status reports and explaining technical information.
• Participate in training through regional technicians and off‑site modules.
• Maintain required certifications and develop new skill sets.
• Complete job‑site hazard assessment prior to service and adhere to Daikin Applied and customer safety policies and OSHA guidelines.

• Accepted as 3rd year Apprentice by the union.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability.

• Member of local union or willing to join.
• Commercial HVAC industry experience.
• OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current first aid / CPR card.

• Factory Certified Training, Refrigeration Certification, or other professional on‑the‑job training.
• Work on a variety of commercial equipment and cutting‑edge technologies such as Intelligent Equipment.
