Maintenance Mechanic Assistant

An expanding metal manufacturer in Minneapolis, MN, is looking to add a maintenance mechanic assistant to its growing team! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your career in a family-owned, supportive work environment.

Job type: Temp-to-hire

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Wage: $20/hr.

Hours: 6 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday, OT on Saturdays

Duties of the maintenance mechanic assistant:

• Assist with maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Support troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime
• Help with routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Assist in machinery installation and upgrades
• Maintain accurate records and maintenance logs
• Follow all safety standards and company policies
• Work alongside the maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment issues

Requirements of the maintenance mechanic assistant:

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• 1+ year of maintenance experience or applicable schooling is desired
• MIG welding experience a plus
• Steel-toed boots
