Carpenter Journeyman

Primary Purpose Of Position

Responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for installation of rough and finish carpentry elements, doors, frames, door hardware, steel stud framing, drywall and building concrete form.

• Rough Carpentry
• Finish Carpentry: toilet accessories, hand rails, corner guards, toilet partitions, lockers, upper/lower cabinets, countertops, wall paneling systems, ceiling systems, running trim doors, frames, and hardware
• Drywall / Framing
• Unload, handle, stockpile, and erect of all pre-fabricated materials
• Concrete and rough carpentry
  • Hand set Walls
  • Footings
  • Set Gang Wall Forms
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams
• Some ability to read plans
• Ability to operate equipment such as: table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging and form systems
• Strong teamwork orientation

• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
