Field Welder (Structural & Misc. Steel) Pay (Based on Experience):
- Apprentice: $28-$32/hr
- Lead: $32-$35/hr
- Foreman: $38-$45/hr

, you’ll work on active construction sites installing structural steel and miscellaneous metal systems.
- Perform SMAW (stick welding) using 7018 rod
- Install structural steel (columns, bar joists, metal decking)
- Install misc. metals (handrails, guardrails, stairs, mezzanines)
- Assist with crane picks, rigging, and signaling
- Operate lifts and equipment (scissor lifts, aerial lifts, cranes)
- Read blueprints and measure accurately
- Experience with structural steel welding & erection
- Proficiency in SMAW and/or FCAW
- Ability to read prints and work independently
- D1.1 certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights
- Reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Experience working with inspectors
- Consistent raises and clear career progression
- Year‑round, long‑term work (no short‑term projects)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
