Job Overview

Operator’s primary responsibility is to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively for the installation of underground utilities. The operator will perform additional duties as required to support the crew.

• Operate heavy excavation equipment for underground utility installation.
• Perform additional duties to support crew as needed.

• Prior operator experience required.
• Backhoe and/or Mini‑Excavator experience is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating excavation equipment in the telecom utility industry.
• Ability to read standards, schematics and exercise technical thinking.

Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs; stand, walk on uneven surfaces; turn, stoop, kneel, crouch; speak and hear continuously.

Work outdoors exposed to weather, wet/humid conditions, cold, heat, and humidity. Noise level often loud. Overtime may be required. Exposure to slow- or fast-moving traffic.
