- Install and Maintain: Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain structured cabling systems (Cat5/Cat6, fiber, coax).
- Cabinet & Conduit Work: Perform conduit installation, cable dressing, and termination inside IDF/MDF cabinets.
- Device Setup: Install and configure CCTV and network devices.
- Project Leadership: Lead small teams on multi-week projects to ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious delivery.
- Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints and site maps.
- Aerial Work: Operate BOOM and/or scissor lifts to work at heights up to 40+ feet.
- Testing & Compliance: Conduct system testing and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Communication: Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience: 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in low‑voltage systems, structured cabling, networking, and CCTV.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fiber optic termination, network infrastructure, and Point‑of‑Sale (POS) deployment/troubleshooting.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years).
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation.
- Tools: Must possess basic telecom tools and standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Leadership: Comfortable working independently and leading small teams.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (4–6 weeks at a time) and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Industry certifications: BICSI, OSHA, MSHA, AVIXA CTS, Panduit, Belden, or Corning.
- Hands‑on experience with fusion splicing.
- Experience running DSX cable certification testing.
$25 - $35 an hour
