2nd Shift Diesel Technician

SCHEDULE

2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3pm-1am (approx. 40‑60 hours per week) plus 10% pay differential applies to 2nd and 3rd shifts only.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Perform repair on diesel truck engines
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub‑assemblies, components, parts or systems
  • Inspect overall condition of trucks to ensure they meet U.S. Department of Transportation safety requirements
  • Compile inspection reports detailing findings
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
  • Ensure final work product meets quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co‑workers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Great work ethic
  • Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
  • Attention to detail
  • Expertise in working on diesel engines (Cummins, MAC, etc.)
  • CDL (preferred)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50‑100 lbs. occasionally and 10‑50 lbs. frequently
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliability and dedication to hard work
  • Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly environment
  • Honesty and respect
