Fabrication/Welder Mechanic
The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Fabrication/Welder Mechanic, you will shop‑fabricate daily, working with drawings and print packages. Your responsibilities include:
- Modify facility and production equipment, welding, rigging, site maintenance, millwright work, and moving plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and solve mechanical/electrical equipment problems.
- Collaborate with engineering on equipment upgrades and with other production engineering groups to maintain plant reliability.
- Perform predictive and preventive routes, establish and maintain equipment documentation and spare parts, and conduct root‑cause failure analysis.
- Use PC Maintenance Management system tools for analysis, planning, and scheduling.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and symbols.
Requirements:
- Completed a technical degree, diploma, or certificate in mechanical craft(s) related to this trade, or at least 540 hours of documented military school related to this trade.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, overtime, and after‑hour call‑in.
- Legal age of 18 years or older (compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws).
Preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further:
- Future certification for PIVs, respirators, and aerial lifts.
- Knowledge of welding types and procedures; selected welding certifications (MIG, TIG/Plasma, Stainless Steel, Aluminum).
- Experience with fabrication equipment such as metal brakes/shears, drill presses, band saws, hydraulic presses, hammer drills, grinders, and finishing tools.
Travel may include up to 5% domestic.
