Job Summary

This full‑time, benefit‑eligible position is located at Tarnhill Apartments. The role involves performing a variety of building maintenance tasks, providing customer service, and handling emergency repairs. No on‑call or after‑hours responsibilities are required.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (flexible)

Compensation

$30 – $35 per hour.

Licenses/Certifications Required
  • Boiler certification
  • CPO (Certified Property Owner)
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled building maintenance, including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other parts of the building.
  • Maintain grounds, including trash pick‑up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster areas, and maintain landscape beds.
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy, including cleaning.
  • Install, repair (including soldering), and maintain various plumbing, heating, and air‑conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
  • Install and repair major and minor appliances (e.g., washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher).
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
  • Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair or replace leaking faucets, remove or replace caulking, replace toilet components, adjust or replace door closures, locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
  • Demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service at all times.
  • Five years of experience required.
Qualifications

Five years of experience, required licenses and certifications (boiler, CPO). Capable of troubleshooting and performing skilled maintenance tasks.
