Overview
WM is looking for entry, mid, and senior level mechanics to join our Blaine, MN hauling site. The role offers career progression, stable hours, and a safe work environment.
$5,000 Sign‑On Bonus for senior level candidates with diesel experience.
Compensation & Benefits- Starting salary: $38.00–$42.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Tool allowance: $1,050 annually
- Boot allowance: $500 annually
- Sign‑on bonus: $5,000 (Senior level, Diesel)

The normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop at our Blaine site.
Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Estimate time and material costs for vehicle repairs and new parts.
- Work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Perform safety checks on vehicles, ensuring the safety of employees and the public.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and repair times.
- Assist senior mechanics with project work.
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA standards.
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and physical exam.

The role requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing. The work environment may include exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and other hazards. It involves both inside garage and outdoor conditions, sometimes with inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
