Installation Technician Paid Training in Minneapolis

Position Summary

Safe Haven Security is looking for an Installation Technician / Security Advisor to join our organization. In this role you will play a crucial part in installing, servicing, and troubleshooting residential alarm and automation systems to ensure optimal performance and peace of mind for our customers.

• Perform installation of security alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
• Engage in sales consultations with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable security solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to verify proper function and make necessary adjustments.
• Educate customers on the use and functionality of their alarm systems, ensuring confidence in operation.
• Complete mandatory paperwork, including installation reports, service tickets, and inventory records.
• Stay current on knowledge of alarm systems, emerging technologies, and industry standards.

• Must possess basic tools required for installation duties.
• Proficient in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security alarm systems, control panels, sensors, and cameras.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with customers.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Auto insurance must meet company standards throughout employment.
• Must obtain or possess an alarm agent permit where mandated by Federal, State, or Municipal law.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; driving history must meet company standards.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Candidates must meet the following physical requirements:

• Stand, climb ladders, and maneuver in tight spaces for sustained periods.
• Use hand and power tools and handle small components accurately.
• Lift, carry, and position objects up to 50 pounds, including overhead or in awkward positions.
• Must have adequate vision for detailed work.
• Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, and maintaining balance on ladders or at heights.
• Must work in indoor and outdoor environments, tolerating temperature fluctuations and inclement weather.
• Must be able to drive personal vehicle for long periods of time.
