Maintenance Technicians
Hiring Maintenance Technicians on 1st and 2nd shift. Paying up to $38/hr.
Job DescriptionThis role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of equipment throughout a highly automated facility. The Maintenance Technician works with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems up to 480V, with a strong emphasis on supporting automated packaging equipment and ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all machinery.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment throughout the facility to minimize downtime and maintain safe, reliable operation.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on conveyors and other production equipment, including installation, adjustment, and replacement of components.
- Work with pneumatics and hydraulics to identify and resolve issues in valves, cylinders, pumps, and related systems.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including three-phase power, motors, and control circuits.
- Troubleshoot and repair automated packaging equipment, ensuring consistent performance and product quality.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment, following established schedules and procedures to reduce unplanned failures.
- Use PLC troubleshooting techniques to identify issues in control systems and support repairs to PLC-controlled equipment.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting to isolate faults in wiring, components, and control devices, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Assist with equipment installations, including mechanical assembly, electrical hookups, and integration with existing systems.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role working with industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on experience working with electrical systems up to 480V, including three-phase power.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and repair automated packaging equipment and conveyors.
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices and routines for production machinery.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and control systems to support equipment diagnostics.
- Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery components.
- Basic welding skills to support equipment repair and modification.
- Capability to install, repair, and maintain equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with installation and commissioning of new equipment, including mechanical and electrical integration.
- Familiarity with conveyors, automated packaging lines, and related material handling systems.
- Knowledge of PLC controls and industrial automation concepts.
- Comfort working with a variety of tools and test equipment used in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and repair.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate work with production and other maintenance team members.
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and follow documented procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
