Location/Region

Position will work in Minneapolis, MN and surrounding area.

Here’s what you’ll do:
  • Engage in a comprehensive ~3 month in field and classroom training program to ensure you have the skills and tools to be successful.
  • Once trained, you will travel to customer sites in your region to Install, Repair, Troubleshoot, Service and Calibrate the most advanced measuring instruments in the world.
  • Work hands on to learn new skills on high tech CMM’s (Coordinate Measuring Machines) utilizing mechanical and electronic aptitude.
  • Document service work and maintain accurate service records.
  • Work independently while representing the company in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

What we are looking for:
  • Minimum, High School graduate, completed GED or equivalent.
  • Or, Tech School, associate, or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, and the like.
  • Or, Training and experience from a Military Technical School.
  • Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
  • Microsoft operating system knowledge is required.
  • Capable of unassisted physical lift of one article weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Able and willing to work minimum of 50 hours per work week. Regular + OT.
  • Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.
  • Valid Driver License required.
Nice to haves:
  • Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.
  • Previous CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) installation and troubleshooting experience is preferred however not required.
ZEISS offers a competitive pay program!
  • Base pay ranged from $48,000 - $60,000 ($23.08/hr - $28.85/hr).
  • OT:
    Average OT is 10 hours a week and paid out at time and half - we basically pay for your travel time!
  • Annual bonus program: eligible for an additional bonus at the end of the year.
  • Company vehicle - can use it for personal use as well!
