The Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Minneapolis, MN, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing laundry and dry cleaning equipment for customers in the region. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostic assessments, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and completing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. The Technician will respond to service calls, document work performed, and communicate clearly with customers and the internal team about repair needs, status, and timelines.
This role also involves ordering and replacing parts, supporting equipment start-up and training, and following safety procedures and company standards during all service activities. The Technician may assist drivers and warehouse staff when needed and help maintain tools, vehicles, and work areas in safe, clean working condition.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial or commercial equipment.
- Basic electrical knowledge, including reading simple wiring diagrams and safely working with motors, controls, and related components.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues using hand tools, test equipment, and manufacturer documentation.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to explain technical information clearly and professionally on-site.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel locally and regionally for service calls.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and parts, stand for extended periods, and work safely in customer facilities.
- Attention to detail in documenting service work, maintaining parts inventory, and following safety and quality procedures.
- Prior experience as a service technician, maintenance mechanic, or related role in industrial, mechanical, or facility environments is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
