What You'll Be Doing
As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and light-to-moderate repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine PM services on Class 8 tractors and trailers
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and air system issues
- Servicing brakes, tires, lighting, sensors, and air lines
- Completing minor engine and trailer repairs, including walking floor trailers
- Working both in the shop and in the field using a fully equipped service truck
- Maintaining accurate service documentation and inspection records
- Ensuring equipment is DOT-compliant, safe, and road-ready

Required:
- Diesel mechanic experience (entry-level through seasoned technician)
- Experience with PMs, brakes, tires, and basic diagnostics
- Knowledge of electrical and air brake systems
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Valid driver's license
Preferred:
- Experience working on Class 8 trucks and trailers
- Hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge
- Warranty repair and dealership coordination experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $43.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
