Diesel Fleet Technician – Mid Shift
You'll join a skilled, well-supported maintenance team responsible for keeping a modern fleet of trucks and trailers running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where your expertise is valued, your input matters, and your work directly impacts daily operations. You'll have steady hours, a well-equipped shop, OEM diagnostic tools, and the autonomy to take ownership of your repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers (brakes, steering, suspension, etc.).
- OEM diagnostic software use for engine and system troubleshooting.
- Electrical system repair including wiring, lighting, and modules.
- Heavy component work on diesel engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
- Trailer maintenance including structural, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
- DOT inspections and compliance repairs.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic diagnostics.
- Welding and fabrication for repairs or modifications.
- Accurate electronic work orders, parts tracking, and documentation.
- Collaboration with drivers and shop teams to prioritize repairs.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work on/under vehicles as needed.
- Mobile repair work using company service trucks.
What You Bring
- Experience with diesel engines, diagnostics, and mechanical repair.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform DOT inspections and compliance repairs.
- Confidence working on brakes, suspension, steering, and heavy components.
- Familiarity with electronic work orders and parts management.
- Physical ability to perform hands-on fleet maintenance.
Work Environment
You'll work in clean, organized, well-equipped shops with OEM software, specialty tools, and a supportive team. Service trucks are provided for mobile repairs and travel between locations. The role is active, hands-on, and ideal for technicians who enjoy variety and autonomy in a professional fleet environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
