Wholesale Produce Supply is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Minneapolis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a strong mechanical aptitude, and wants to build a long-term career in diesel and truck maintenance.
The best part? You’ll have the opportunity to learn directly from and be mentored by a Master Truck Mechanic. You’ll receive hands-on training and gain valuable experience working on our fleet while developing the skills needed to become a highly qualified diesel technician.
What You'll Do- Assist with preventive maintenance and repairs on company trucks and vehicles
- Learn to diagnose mechanical and diesel-related issues
- Perform oil changes, lubrication, inspections, and routine maintenance
- Assist with brake, suspension, steering, cooling, and other repairs
- Learn basic electrical and diagnostic troubleshooting
- Assist with engine and drivetrain repairs as your skills develop
- Inspect vehicles and identify maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Work closely with our Master Truck Mechanic to develop your mechanical skills
- Take on increasingly complex repairs as your knowledge and experience grow
We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, and eager to learn
. Previous professional diesel experience is not required for the right candidate.
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in diesel/truck repair
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
- Ability to work independently as skills develop
- Automotive, diesel, agricultural, construction, or heavy-equipment experience
- Technical school or diesel/mechanics coursework
- Previous shop, maintenance, or mechanical experience
- Experience working with trucks, trailers, or other commercial equipment

$24.00–$28.00 per hour
, depending on mechanical experience and qualifications.
Candidates with stronger diesel or heavy-equipment experience may be considered above the entry-level range.
