Maintenance Tech

Invitation Homes seeks a Maintenance Tech to support our single-family rental homes. In this field-based role, you'll perform routine and emergency maintenance, diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, and complete carpentry and general repairs to ensure homes are safe, functional, and move-in ready. You'll respond to resident service requests, prioritize work orders, and maintain detailed records using mobile tools.

Partnering closely with leasing and operations teams, you'll help deliver exceptional resident experiences while upholding our standards of quality, safety, and curb appeal across your assigned portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on single-family rental homes
• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues
• Complete carpentry, painting, and general home repair tasks to company standards
• Respond to and prioritize resident service requests within required time frames
• Use mobile tools to document work orders, parts used, and completion notes
• Inspect homes for safety, functionality, and readiness for move-in or turn
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed
• Collaborate with leasing and operations teams to support resident satisfaction
• Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition
• Follow all safety policies, building codes, and company maintenance procedures
