Maintenance Technician

Invitation Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our single-family rental homes. In this field-based role, you will perform routine and emergency maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs. You'll conduct property inspections, diagnose issues, complete work orders, and ensure homes meet safety and quality standards. Working closely with resident services and leasing teams, you'll prioritize resident satisfaction through timely, professional service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on single-family rental homes
• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues
• Complete carpentry, drywall, and minor structural repairs as needed
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs
• Respond to and close work orders in a timely, professional manner
• Ensure all work meets safety, building code, and quality standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of common repair materials
• Coordinate with resident services and leasing teams on access and scheduling
• Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to residents
• Document work performed and update maintenance systems and records
