Remodeling Carpenter
The Remodeling Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry and general construction tasks on residential remodeling projects. This includes rough and finished carpentry, demolition, material pickup, site setup, maintenance, and cleanup. The role requires a high level of independence, strong residential construction knowledge, and the ability to manage tasks without direct supervision. This position also involves maintaining professional relationships with clients and trade partners while contributing to the overall success of project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Execute high-quality, code-compliant carpentry and general construction work.
- Review project scopes and plan daily tasks to meet budget and schedule goals.
- Identify material needs, procure or pick up items as necessary, and manage returns.
- Maintain clean, safe, and protected job sites at all times.
- Communicate project updates, site issues, or client concerns to the Project Manager.
- Foster respectful, professional relationships with clients and trade partners.
- Submit accurate time tracking and receipts by established deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and help ensure a safe work environment.
- Care for and organize company tools, materials, and shop space.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential construction or remodeling.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school education or carpentry apprenticeship training preferred.
- Proficient in both rough and finish carpentry.
- Familiarity with construction tools, materials, and job site safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, scopes of work, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills when interacting with clients, trade partners, and internal teams.
