The salary ranges from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Job Function:
Performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on building systems and grounds, including electrical, pneumatic, roofing, and flooring systems. Responsible for repairing and maintaining shop equipment, including power shears, press brakes, CNC punch presses, electric and pneumatic grinders, drills, saws, and various pneumatic air tools. Ensures all equipment and facility components are maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications and established preventive maintenance schedules.
Maintains accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and service activities performed on buildings, equipment, and machinery.
A. Education / Experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of experience.
B. Specific Job Knowledge
- General knowledge of electricity.
- General knowledge of plumbing.
- General knowledge of small tool repair.
- General knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic repair
- General knowledge of small motor repair.
- General knowledge of building maintenance.
- Diagnosing and resolving problems independently and in a team setting.
- Strong on CNC machines (mills, machining centers, saws, etc.) and needs to be strong on lasers and any forming machines (P4, Flexibend, UpDown).
- Can read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical problems based on a schematic.
A. Duties
- Repair and maintenance of building and grounds.
- Repair and maintenance of large industrial machine tool and facility equipment.
- Repair and maintenance of small tools.
- Repair and maintenance of welding machines.
- Read and interpret manufacturers specifications.
- Service and repair of industrial vehicles.
B. Equipment Used
- All types of small tools and power hand tools
- Scissor lift
- Measurement gauges such as, feeler gauges, tapes and squares
- Forklifts
- Pallet trucks
- Electrical measuring devices
C. Responsibility
- Work with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Record time on job assignments.
- Complete job assignments on time.
- Follow all safety rules; including using all recommended personal protection equipment.
- Record keeping on machines and tools.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
A. Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
B. Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
C. Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and move around and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift material on an average of 20-40 pounds.
- The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.
- The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and balance.
