Transdev in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced A-Level (Level
3) Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel-powered assets.

• $33.25 – $48.58 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale)
• up to $50/hour for highly qualified technicians.
• Relocation negotiable.
• Shift differentials $2/hr. for second shift, $2/hr. for weekend hours
• ASE incentive program with $.25/hr. for each primary automotive certification and $.15/hr. for each secondary transit certification
• Additional $1000 annual bonus for maintaining ASE triple master status
• Additional $1000 annual bonus for maintaining ASE quad master status

• Vacation:
  After the first year 10 days per year; additional days based on longevity
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 8 days; 3 floating holidays
• Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs
• Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
• Other duties as required.

• 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required for promotion ; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
