Wafer Fab Equipment Support Technician

• Own the full service lifecycle: contracted preventive maintenance, rapid-response repairs, consumable changes, tool installations, and commissioning/start-ups.
• Use operation manuals to uncover root causes and guide corrective actions.
• Record PM work, downtime, issues, and time spent; prepare reports supporting product movement and on-site service justification while demonstrating proficiency with the customer’s systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance confidently with minimal supervision.
• Order and fast-track parts; inform customers/management when replacements are required; repair or replace defective components and confirm tool readiness.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system-level problems using service maintenance checklists and protocols.
• Apply Finesse training to accurately track parts usage and related transactions.
• Set clear expectations with customers about issues, solutions, and timelines; escape complex cases to senior engineers or support as needed.
• Follow EBARA safety policies, complete all required safety training, and keep work areas clean and compliant with EBARA and customer rules.
• Contribute to additional tasks aligned with team goals as assigned.

• Can lift 35 lbs. unassisted from floor to waist.
• Fluent in reading and applying electrical and mechanical schematics/diagrams.
• Able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions.
• Comfort working across cultures in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
• Commitment to performing duties without risk to self, others, or property.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, in line with EBARA policies.
• Poise under pressure with multiple, sometimes competing deadlines; cooperative team mindset.
• If the role requires a respirator, you can pass the annual fit test and medical screening.

• High School diploma or AS in Electronics, or an accredited basic electronics certificate, or equivalent practical experience.
• Preferred 4–6 years related experience, ideally in the semiconductor sector.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and familiarity with semiconductor and/or vacuum technology concepts.
• Proven strength in customer relations.

• Component-level diagnostics and repair.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.
• Relationship-building with internal teams and customers; clear written and verbal communication.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality-driven mindset.
• Ability to verify a good driving record when servicing offsite locations.
