If you answered yes, then this Direct Support Professional (DSP) role is for you! Partnership Resources, Inc. is seeking a Float DSP to support adults who have developmental and intellectual disabilities in our day programs and community-based job sites. Float DSP’s provide essential substitute support across the organization, filling in for staff who are on vacation or off for the day.
This is a part-time role averaging 30-35 hours per week. All work hours are Monday-Friday, daytime between 7 AM-4 PM. Shifts are between 6-7 hours in length. No nights, no weekends! This is not a seasonal position.
- In our day programs, DSPs:
Facilitate activities focused on skill development, recreation and leisure. Support community engagement by accompanying individuals served on community outings and to volunteer sites - At our community-based job sites, DSPs:
Work alongside people who have disabilities at their place of employment, assisting individuals served to be successful on the job! Provide job coaching support, helping clients with problem solving, decision making, on-the-job safety, and meeting their job expectations - In both settings, DSPs:
Support individuals served to help develop skills, achieve goals and advocate for themselves

- Ability to travel between office and job site locations as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided
- Must be comfortable working at different locations and environments throughout the week (i.e. day program, commercial kitchen, hospital). When supporting at a job site, working location/environment is determined by where clients are employed. All locations are within the Twin Cities/West Metro area
- Multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Must be able to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years
- Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds
- Ability and willingness to assist individuals with activities of daily living
- Ability or willingness to learn basic computer and technology skills
Preferred requirements:
- 2 years' experience working with people who have disabilities
- Prior experience job coaching or providing employment supports
