Software Engineering Lead

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineering Lead for a Contract job with a client in Minneapolis, MN
. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technologist passionate about solving complex engineering challenges, mentoring teams, and driving innovation across full‑stack and cloud‑native environments.

Rate Range: $49.24/hour to $53/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Lead the design and development of enterprise‑scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Architect and implement cloud‑native solutions using AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Cloud Watch, IAM, and more.
• Mentor and coach engineering teams, conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and drive technical excellence across the organization.
• Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, and leadership teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3–4 years in a technical leadership capacity.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and distributed system architecture.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS cloud, CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across business and engineering teams.

Pay Details: $49.24 to $53.00 per hour
