Northmarq is seeking a Software Engineer in its Bloomington, MN office. • Develop secure, resilient, reliable, maintainable, scalable, and observable client/server web applications using modern frameworks.
• Write automated unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Revise, update, refactor, and debug existing code.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and receiving feedback from peers.
• Collaborate closely with the marketing team to design and implement dynamic features that improve site engagement and traffic.
• Stay up to date with industry terminology, concepts, and best practices in web development.
• Provide technical support, identify issues, and communicate resolutions to the team.
• Occasionally work weekends and nights for maintenance and support activities.
• This position offers a flexible work environment and is available for an immediate start.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent education and experience in software development.
• 2-5 years of demonstrated experience as a software developer, including client/server web applications.
• Strong experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, and preferably Vue.
• Experience with using git for version control.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Understanding of SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Nice to have:
  Experience with Drupal CMS and hosting on Acquia.
• Experience with Dev Ops methodologies and tools is a plus.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and work item tracking systems such as Jira or Azure Dev Ops.
• Ability to work quickly, independently, and collaboratively in a team environment with a focus on delivering high-quality work.

Northmarq carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Software Engineer position is $95,000.00 to $ annually. This range is a good faith estimate and the actual compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
