Junior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a hybrid Junior Data Engineer to join their team in Minneapolis, MN. The client is looking for a Junior Data Engineer who can hit the ground running with a growing team. This team is focused on a specific aspect of the client’s operations and is currently undertaking a major migration project. The role will drive the transition from Hadoop to AWS Athena and Snowflake.

The ideal candidate will be strong in Python, SQL, Snowflake, and AWS Athena, with expertise in data modeling. The team also uses Power BI for visualization and pulls data from SAP. A background in Hadoop is desired, but experience with GCP or AWS is acceptable.

• 2+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with AWS Athena (or similar platforms)
• Expertise in Python
• Expertise in SQL
• Strong data modeling skills
• Familiarity with business reporting using Power BI
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and act as a lead

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
