About the Role
Find Law is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer specializing in Word Press and PHP development to join our Firmsites team. The Word Press Multisite platform that this team is responsible for is crucial for our designers in creating and hosting professional law firm websites (Firmsites). This role requires a background in end-to-end web development within the Word Press ecosystem.

- The primary goal of this role is to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions for the firmsite platform and associated products.
- Deliver end-to-end technical solutions for multiple projects, and ensure integration with other Find Law systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain Word Press plugins, themes, and core functionality that power the platform and resulting Firmsites.
- Resolve technical problems related to functionality, performance, scalability, and security of the Word Press-based firm sites independently.
- Collaborate with product managers, users, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver innovative features.
- Influence and articulate compelling software solutions for our product stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Explain difficult technical concepts clearly to peers and our product stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, maintaining coding standards and development best practices.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, Word Press, WP plugin development, PHPUnit, MySQL, Twig, CSS, ES6, jQuery
- Experience with Git, Docker, and Git Hub Actions, and strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with RESTful web services, object and CDN caching, NodeJS and Type Script used in Cloudflare Workers.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies like EC2, S3, Lambda, Cloud Formation, and ECS.
- 3+ years professional software development experience with PHP on a Word Press Multisite in an enterprise environment.
- 1+ years of experience working on an Agile development team.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, and familiarity with common debugging tools like XDebug.
- Experience writing and using automated unit tests to validate and maintain code quality.
- Familiarity with SEO principles, including page speed and core web vitals.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex technical solutions independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using AI development tools to accelerate tasks, and an interest in learning more.
- Java development experience is also preferred, but not required.
At Internet Brands, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the compensation range for this role to start at $85k and depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
