Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain OIPA-based applications aligned with business requirements and architectural standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and project teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Create low-level design documents, technical specifications, and code artifacts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in and lead code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and quality benchmarks.
- Perform unit testing and support QA teams with test case creation, test data preparation, and defect resolution.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous improvements.
- Ensure proper documentation of system design, processes, and operational procedures.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
- Ensure adherence to development governance, standards, and best practices.
- Evaluate dependencies and integrations across systems to minimize impact and ensure seamless functionality.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA).
- Strong experience with SQL and XML technologies.
- 2–3 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
- Strong SQL development skills (views, stored procedures, functions).
- Proven ability to write clean, efficient, and high-quality code.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in distributed/global team environments.
- Full-stack development experience using cloud-native services (especially AWS).
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, EKS, or ECS.
- Exposure to AI/ML or MLOps concepts.
- Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and integration patterns.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience balancing technical constraints with business needs to deliver optimal solutions.
