Job Overview

As a Software Development Engineer II on the Infrastructure Security – Hardware Lifecycle Security (Infra Sec‑HLS) team, you will build, maintain, and scale software solutions that protect the devices and components used across global AWS datacenters. You will collaborate with Software Development Engineers, Security Engineers, and the Software Development Manager to raise the bar for Infra Sec‑HLS software capabilities and to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

• Collaborate with experienced cross‑disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault‑tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions, starting from broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high‑quality software.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to support the services owned by the Software team.
• Perform peer code reviews.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems with an emphasis on reliability and scaling.
• Proficient in at least one programming language.

• 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
