Principal Software Cloud Engineer

Location:

Mounds View, MN. The role requires 4 days onsite per week and less than 10% travel.

• Develop software and solutions across the stack that improve product reliability and velocity.
• Collaborate with the team to design simple, scalable, and reliable solutions that leverage the new target architecture.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and participate in blameless post‑mortems and follow‑through.

• 7+ years of experience delivering software using C#, Java, or similar languages.
• 4+ years of experience in a public or private cloud environment.
• 4+ years of experience developing applications leveraging Kubernetes.
• 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and source‑code control and artifact tooling (git, JFrog, Artifactory, Azure Dev Ops).
• Ability to participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Ability to work with a globally distributed team.

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or math and a minimum of 7 years of technical work experience, OR an advanced degree and 5 years of technical work experience.

• 2+ years of experience leveraging Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
• 2+ years using Dev Sec Ops  practices with systems/service engineering and release management.
• Experience refactoring a monolith into microservices.
• Experience with monitoring stacks (ELK, Dynatrace, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Prometheus).
• Experience with No
  
  SQL databases (HBase, DynamoDB).
• Experience at a medical device company.
• Ability to work with a globally distributed team.
