Senior Software Engineer to focus on iOS mobile app development as part of Digital Health Home R&D team

Digital Health Home is a part of Acute Care & Monitoring, as well as the broader Medtronic organization, that specializes in telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and related platforms. Our organization consists of various teams with special functions that improve the patient and customer experience.
You will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process. You will work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, team environment.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to focus on iOS mobile app development. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality applications for iOS platform and should be comfortable working with both native (Swift, Kotlin/Java) and cross‑platform (Flutter, React Native, or similar) technologies to deliver seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS platform
- Work with both native (Swift, Objective‑C, Kotlin, Java) and cross‑platform (Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, etc.) frameworks
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver high‑quality products
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance
- Ensure the security, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying mobile applications on iOS
- Proficiency in native development languages:
Swift/Objective‑C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android - Experience with at least one cross‑platform mobile framework (Flutter, React Native, etc.)
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with app store submission processes for both Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices
- Experience with Bluetooth peripheral integration
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for mobile apps
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge in FDA and ISO design control requirements is a plus
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.
