About The Club

Located minutes from downtown Minneapolis, MN, The Minikahda Club is much more than a collection of amenities. Founded in 1898, The Minikahda Club is the oldest country club west of the Mississippi and a premier club in the region. The Club experience is focused on providing superior social and recreational experiences based on the values of family, fellowship, integrity, respect, and inclusiveness.

We are in the business of creating fun and memorable experiences.

To ensure the safety of members/guests including accident prevention in the water and on surrounding areas. The rescue and care of accident victims.

• Reinforce pool rules with members and guests.
• Answer the lifeguard desk phone and answer any questions members might have.
• Make sure members sign in every time they visit including their potential guests.
• Provide first aid to any person in need.
• Keep lifeguard desk and bathhouse stocked with clean towels.
• Tidy up the bathhouses after every lifeguard rotation.
• Responsible for opening and closing the pool.
• Keep a 20-minute rotation guarding schedule.
• Help with swimming lessons.
• Ensuring that the pool area is clean and tidy.
• Responsible for removal of food waste, cleaning tables, and tidying pool deck area of towels, toys, and debris.
• Other duties as needed by the business.

• Strong swimming proficiency.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a thorough understanding of first aid and CPR techniques.
• Strong leadership skills to handle emergency situations.
• Attention to detail and observation.

• High school diploma.
• Previous lifeguard experience and teaching swim lessons is preferred.

• Daily meal.
• Minneapolis Sick and Safe Leave.

• Lifeguard certification.
• First aid and CPR certified.

$18-$25 per hour depending on experience.
