Elementary School Counselor

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in school counseling or closely related field
• Active School Social Worker license in Minnesota (PELSB)
• Experience working with elementary-age children preferred
• Spanish-speaking or bilingual ability highly valued, particularly for our Spanish immersion building
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to elementary students
• Develop and implement programs promoting student well-being, academic achievement, and positive behavior
• Serve as a resource for teachers and parents, assisting with student concerns and referrals
• Foster a welcoming and supportive environment across both assigned school sites
• Participate in school meetings and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards
