The Airport Planner will, under the direction of the Director of Airport Planning, develop airport planning documents and programs for the Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and the six Reliever Airports.
Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate long‑term plans, master plans, and airport layout plans.
- Build relationships with MAC departments, airport tenants, other governmental jurisdictions, the Federal Aviation Administration, MnDOT Aeronautics, and the Metropolitan Council.
- Manage airport zoning and variance processes.
- Oversee environmental review processes for facility development.
- Manage gate plots and simulations for aircraft movements and passenger flows.
- Assist the Director of Planning with budgeting and project programming for the Planning business unit.
- Strong interest and passion for aviation.
- Visionary thinking and excellent critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to self‑start planning projects with minimal guidance.
