Qualified candidates will hold a current CDL-A, have at least 2 years of documented tractor trailer experience in the last 5 years, and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.

This role offers true flexibility — assignments are at least three weeks, with the option to extend and continue traveling as long as it works for you.

Preferred candidates will have hazmat anddoublesendorsements.

What You’ll Do
  • Travel regionally in Minnesota to support Penske operations
  • Represent Penske as a trusted, elite professional driver
  • Help launch new business and supportkeystrategiccustomers
  • Perform multi-stop deliveries in a variety of environments
  • Job assignments can range from high touch to no touch. Training is providedforspecializedequipment.
  • Use scanners and onboard technology to ensureaccuratedeliveries
  • Drive safe, inwell maintainedvehiclesswith best-in-class specs for comfort and safety – including inward and outward facing in-cab cameras for safety and protection.

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
  • Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
  • This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
  • The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
