Yard Truck Driver - Class A

Compensation

$30 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours, ten‑thousand retention bonus, local, home daily work.

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers as they are positioned for loading and unloading and pulling from doors.

5‑day work week:
Monday through Friday, 5AM dispatch time, weekends off.

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Currently hold, or the ability to obtain, a non‑exempt interstate DOT medical card.
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the past 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• English language proficiency required for compliance with federal law.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associate must accept responsibility for own safety and safety of others.

• The associate must be able to see and hear, with required vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Must move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
• Must legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
